A new year is here ✨

Happy new year ✨

Sending love and blessings to you 💗

I believe it is going to be a great year ahead.

What are your hopes and dreams for the year ahead?

Do you have a word for the year ahead?

Let’s be thinking and praying about that and connect on a future blog on that.

First things first, a new year is here … and it is really on my heart to talk about loving and enjoying God.

Taking time to take pleasure in Him.

Taking time to be with Him.

Just walking through our home recently and I hear …

Gift of God….

Gift from God.

And the realization it’s all a gift from Him.

Bible talks about how a good father gives good gifts to his children.

How much more our Heavenly Father, the good gifts He gives to us.

Why does He give to us?

He gives to us because He loves us.

He gives to us for us to enjoy.

“who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy” 1 Timothy 6:17

Do we take time to enjoy Him?

To enjoy His goodness to us?

Psalm 103:2 tells us Bless the LORD, my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits;

Another version describes it as His kind deeds
His treatment, act, service.

We can tend to think oh someone was so kind, so helpful, so nice.

But actually it all comes from God.

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17

For example, have you ever been invited by someone to join them as a guest at a party. Had a great time. Thanked the person who invited you. But after leaving maybe realize you didn’t get to thank the host who put the whole party together.

Or we eat in an amazing restaurant.

We thank the waitress.

We call for, and thank, the chef.

The owner may even be in the restaurant, seated with friends in comfy chairs in the lounge of the restaurant chatting, and may observe everything, and we don’t even think to thank them.

Truth be told there wouldn’t be …
a dish
a meal
a waitress
or a chef if the owner had not got the vision to run with it in the first place.

Those who

help us
serve us
invite us
bring us

We can, and we should, thank them, all sincerely

But, as we thank them or anyone that is a blessing, or for anything or any place that is a blessing to us.

We must also …

acknowledge
honour
appreciate
and thank

the One it all comes from anyway.

It comes from God.

It comes from our Father in Heaven.

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17

I pray a year of unexpected amazing gifts, encounters and blessings for you and your family this year

Much love 💗
