Open our eyes Lord ✨

This verse caught my eye in my Bible reading this morning ☀️

The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous. Psalm 146:8

And the thought that sometimes it is us who are the blind. 

Whether through culture, past hurts or wrong expectations, sometimes it’s us who are the ones who cannot see. 

First Conrinthians tells us 

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I also have been fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12

It is so true that in many circumstances we only see in part. 

But there is hope. 

Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Acts 9:18

A simple prayer removed the scales from the eyes. 

God is faithful to all. 

Lord, remove any scales from our eyes too.
